LO: To explore the validity to news stories and their origins

Fake News: False or misleading information presented as news. Fake news often has the aim of damaging the reputation of a person or entity, or making money through advertising revenue. The term was first used in the 1890s when sensational reports in newspapers were common.

The Plague is BACK! But WORSE! The cure for the normal Plague does not seem to work for this new variant. Scientists are not quite sure how, but it doesn't seem to be from rats.

Fire at Bodmin Jail - Cornwall Live.
3 fire engines all come at once when the historic Bodmin Jail fire is mysteriously started in the main cell, badly damaged. Police went closer into the investigation, could possibly be the kitchen. 6 people are rescued by firefighters while in a restaurant, as 2 people are taken to hospital; one with serious burns. Reported 11:15, last night. PC Smith said "The damage to the historical building is extensive. The clear up likely to take weeks and the cost of rebuilding will run into millions."

 Wednesday 22nd September 2021 On a bigger scale this means that we will all read media texts slightly differently because we approach them from our own personal subject position.
